Good Friday: Blessed is the Wood.

In the Wisdom of Solomon
we have a little verse that seems to appear out of nowhere.

Blessed is the wood that brings righteousness.

It’s one of those little hints
that the cross is the center of the universe.

Behold the wood of the cross,
on which hung the saviour of the world.
